Registered in 2024, Odisha Matrushakti Pragati Foundation (OMSPF) was founded on a simple belief: when a woman becomes economically independent, the entire household — and eventually the entire village — moves with her.
The foundation works directly with rural and tribal women's collectives, providing vocational training, seed capital access, stitching machine distribution, and mentorship to help members start and sustain their own micro-enterprises.
In its first two years, OMSPF has expanded quickly from its earliest self-help groups into project sites across multiple districts — including the June 2026 launch of its Women Empowerment & Self-Reliance Project in Malkangiri district, which reached over 600 women across six Gram Panchayats.
